This guy was poisoned by a bad calzone, woke up in the middle of the night, was puking his guts out over the side of the ship, passed out and fell overboard, and was lost at sea for 28 hours, where he had to fend off sharks, seagulls, and flesh-eating fish.
He literally had to fight for his life. 28 hours, many in the dark, in the middle of the ocean not knowing if he would make it.
He came up with clever ways to trick his mind into pushing himself to keep going. He hallucinated, saw the virgin Mary, and imagined his wife screaming at him to keep swimming and not to leave her and their 2 small children all alone.
The good news is…he was rescued…but in a sense he was still lost at sea. He spent the next year in a deep depression searching for answers and ended up becoming a public speaker sharing his story.
He realized he had been too focused on business at the expense of his family and friends.
You don’t have to have a near death experience to wake up to what’s important in life. Chances are it’s staring you in the face.
Open your eyes. Remember life is short. Don’t get to the end and have regret.
